Sliders in Bodyslide do not work (just on one replacer mod, others are fine)
Hi, I normally use BD's Armor and Clothing Replacer BHUNP. I am trying to use Female Outfit Replacer Standalone CBBE BHUNP for just one outfit, and the rest would be BD's. I actually posted something very similar to this a few months ago, trying to do the same thing with A Little Sexy Apparel Replacer BHUNP. On Female Outfit Replacer, the sliders do work but they are way more dialed back than the normal sliders, like the way I adjusted them in BD's now, in Female Outfit Replacer, have much lower values and not looking like they do in BD's. I don't see anything in the Nexus posts page for Female Outfit Replacer, so I am wondering if anyone here knows what could be causing the sliders to be a little bit off from the look that they should be producing? Maybe this is a common issue that can be fixed somehow? I am certainly not an expert, thank you

Have you added both groups to your body preset XML-file? You can (re)save if from BodySlide. Group editor is at top right corner of the UI.

Hey Ilja, I did not think to do that, and I just tried it. Now all of the Female Outfit Replacer, BD BHUNP, BHUNP hair collisions, and BHUNP bodies are in the same group. However, that's not the problem it seems. It really looks like in my low level opinion that this mod is not working right, because this mod's (Female Outfit Replacer) outfits have a much skinnier look with the exact same sliders than the BD BHUNP outfits. ALL I'm trying to do is find some mod that has a skimpy Blacksmith Armor. I don't like BD BHUNP Blacksmith outfit and I just want to replace that one outfit with a different one.

I appreciate your response dude and if you have any more ideas, I'm happy to hear them. Thanks!

Hey. Just woke up. I am reading comments from BHNUP version of the mod. Looks like Lazman didn't get it all right with the conversion and has since quit the modding community.

It is likely that problem is not in your end, but in mod itself.

Thanks man for looking into it. That's very considerate of you to make that effort bro

If the mod doesn't have the correct sliders or is built around the wrong body, it's a tedious but achievable project to convert armors to adapt to a different body mesh, including adding cbpc physics using Outfit Studio (smp is more difficult/takes more steps).

These are the directions I've been using to convert armor meshes; the video is for CBBE 3bav2, but the procedure should work essentially the same way for other body meshes. There are other tutorials available on the internet if this one doesn't meet your needs.

Hey dude, I just want to say thank you for providing a long and boring but still doable solution, probably the only solution if I really was set on using Lazman's blacksmith outfit. My solution now is the same as it was when I couldn't get A Little Sexy Apparel blacksmith to work, which is just to use the vanilla BHUNP outfit (edit: for blacksmith). Maybe one day I'll look into your idea to convert the outfit myself. Probably wouldn't take that long for just one outfit, you think? Thanks again

Someone good with Outfit Studio could probably do this in 1-2 minutes per piece of armor because that video can be condensed into 5 or 6 steps.

Hey all in this thread, if you guys can help me out with something very simple, that would be great. I successfully figured out how to mask part of an outfit in Outfit Studio, invert the mask, then delete the vertices to get rid of part of an outfit. However, I am stuck on something else in Outfit Studio. I loaded my reference body, loaded the Blacksmith outfit, hit Conform All, yet when I go to Slider and load my preset, nothing changes, and also none of the sliders on the right side work either. I can successfully change the Blacksmith outfit if I can just figure out how to get the preset to load. By the way, the preset does indeed load with the correct shape before I make the conversion of the reference. (I converted from None to the Advanced Version 4 of BHUNP). However, before the conversion, there is no skin texture. After I convert it, there is a texture but the presets don't work. I'm doing something wrong. TY

I looked and the sliders are set to the correct values but the reference does not reflect those values (they are set correctly before the conversion but not after). Maybe I don't need to convert? But how to get the skin texture to show up? Or if it is no skin texture, will it still appear right in game after saving the project that way?

-----

So I just tried saving the modified outfit without seeing the skin texture on the reference. It does show up with the skin in BodySlide, however the problem now is that, with my preset (which is thick), much more of the outfit is gone/missing than what I erased myself. The regular BD Blacksmith outfit, even with my preset, looks fine in BodySlide. But like I said, after erasing part of that outfit with a skinless reference in Outfit Studio, the body appears but the outfit is all messed up (changed in a way that I did not do manually) in BodySlide

---

Sorry I'm just saying I figured it out. Add Project not New Project
