Halldir's Cairn CTD for some reason!

Hi all, me again. I encountered a ctd glitch when entering Halldir's Cairn! Apperently something about ghosts messing with facegen data or teleportation. I installed both patches that were on nexus, but they don't seem to work!

I see you have Halldir's Cairn Crash Fix[www.nexusmods.com], so that's good. There is also the possibility that the issue is due to a faulty FaceGen file. Issues with FaceGen will always result in an instant CTD when the game tries to load that location containing the NPC with the bad FaceGen. So, the thing that needs to be checked is if there are any mods which add NPCs to Halldir's Cairn. For that, xEdit is a valuable tool. See the following guide:

But, before doing anything, wait to see if someone can spot anything in your load order that could be problematic.

One thing you can try, is moving 30 1e Halldirs-Cairn-Fix.esp lower in your load order, just in case it is being overwritten by another mod.

And post a crashlog with Crashlogger or Trainwreck. Someone may notice something in the crashlog. Preferably Crashlogger. Although both are from the same author, Trainwreck contains far more useless information.

Tarlazo's edits the FaceGen files of the ghosts directly, while thesimplyjay's fixes edits the spawn locations of the ghosts, so I would not think that there would be any compatibility issues (and none are mentioned in the mod descriptions).

You could try reinstalling Tarlazo's mod just to ensure that some other mod installed later did not revert the FaceGen files back to the original. Do not reinstall thesimplyjay's fixes - a simple load order adjustment should be sufficient for that one.

Still not working! I copied the crash log, but Steam won't let me put it in the comments so I'll make another forum post with the crash logs and put a link to it here! Sorry if that isn't ideal!
