Best Followers for Homestead Steward?

Exactly what it says in the title. Here are my picks. I like to go with one with no affiliation to an organization (ex: Companions, Dawnguard) or isn't already a Housecarl, and whose abilities compliment the Housecarl of each homestead.
1) Ghorbash the Iron Hand, Faendal or Brelyna Maryon for Lakeview Manor
2) Onmund, Erik the Slayer or Golldir for Winstad Manor.
3) Belrand, Marcurio or Illia for Heljarchen Hall.

What about you folks?

I use Housecarls from Holds other than the ones the houses are in. That way you get 2 guards for it. And if you marry one of mthem and send him/her home you can have one with 3 Housecarl guards in it.

I don't have any specific followers for specific stewards, except for Njada Stonearm. I always make her steward of Heljarchen hall, probably because the frigid temperature fits her.
