Pg patcher, pbr, and mo2
If I'm going to use faultier's pbr skyrim, then it makes sense to put pg patcher output high up in mo2 load order, correct? So that it leaves all my meshes and 2k textures of c3ba, food, furniture, outfits, ground terrain and blended roads alone. right?

Because if at the bottom, I get some purple ground textures and in whiterun barrels, smithing activators, the witcher missives board, and some dragonsreach furniture turns white. it should even go before smim, is what I'm thinking kill a nun.

The output from PG Patcher should override everything else.

If you're getting missing textures, it sounds like you're either missing some requirement for it to work properly, or you got some broken mods, or incompatible ones.

The only thing I'm really after is the pbr dwemer metal, if you see on the faultier pbr nexusmods page

everything was looking good, until I made pbr output at the bottom and ran pg patcher. I suspect blended roads may be incompatible. the white smithing activators and dragonsreach furniture being white, I have no idea why

PG Patcher will patch everthing in your load order.
If you only want PBR dwemer metal, you'd need a mod that only adds PBR to that and nothing else. In which case, the patcher wouldn't be needed at all.
Okay, ty. I will try that. the reason I ran patcher was because the description said patcher was required.

Alright, here's an idea. Show me your entire load order, and I'll see if I can find the issue.

Alright, forget what I said earlier.
I took another look at the mod page you mentioned.

This mod, from what I can see, simply isn't made to only add PBR to one thing, but the whole game.

Assuming you followed the installation instructions correctly, your PG Patcher Output should work just fine.

So my only guess, as I metioned earlier, is that you're missing some requirement to make it work. Do you even have Community Shaders installed? PBR won't work without it.

Faultier's PBR is made to work with Blended Roads, so it can't be that. I used them together for a while (before Skyland PBR was released) without issues.
Your issues sound like the meshes are getting messed up by the patcher, but I don't know why that would be the case.
