Skyrim Why Cant We Capture People?
I think it would be good if we can capture people instead of killing them and
sell them for gold and have skill to able this? to bring more limit of capture.

Would be good to attack trade caravans for gold goods?
Would this be good feature for ES 6 ? So we capture some storm clonks and sell
them to empire as pow sounds good? Mods? people like to steal cattle and
other animals to sell? why can't we in Skyrim? we should to guild?

What else would like to capture and sell? Why are there not more tame
beings and being held in camps? Did people want to tame giants and use them
to attack for us? mods? What else would like to tame?

Jayserpa made a mod called Headhunter which allows you to either kill and take the head of a humanoid radiant bounty target, or capture them if you force them into a “downed/yield” state.

If you capture them, you can take their stuff and bind their hands and they’ll follow you until you take them to the closest guard of the Hold which issued the bounty. You then hand them over, get paid, and that prisoner will appear in the Hold jail for a short amount of time.

Not really what you’re talking about but it’s the closest I’ve seen. No doubt on other more…”adult” mod sites there are probably full fledged slavery mods.

As ihateeverybody said though, lore-wise, slavery wasn’t legal within the Empire - which means it’s fallen out of favor across most of Tamriel.

Morrowind’s House Dres built their reputation and wealth on enslaving Argonians though and IIRC they continued to do this well into the Third Era. As Morrowind was a kind of autonomous province within The Empire they didn’t have to follow Imperial law to the letter, but slavery in Morrowind became less prevalent and accepted regardless.

I sorta recall reading though that some time in the Third Era, possibly at the advent of the Fourth, the Empire demanded Morrowind abolish the practice entirely and the current ruler agreed and more-or-less “officially” stripped House Dres of its power, but there were some who believed that it was just for show and slavery continued but just less openly…and then the Red Year occurred and everything went sideways.

In game Borderlands 2 there is a trade caravan that can come to the game world that you can raid it and loot on it for supplies it could be similar to this with trade caravans around the map that can be raided by the players and I think that the ability to tame animals and creatures like giants and have them fight at the players side to me it sounds really cool like in Stronghold legends where you can have Frost Giants fighting for the player you could use a giant army in Skyrim to attack a city or fort like in Stronghold Legends you can already tame dragons in skyrim but this is mainly just for flying them and attacking from below I think you could also tame mammoths as well as giants already tame mammoths and you can use them to fight by the player's side maybe you could ride them as well we could also tame Falmer as well and fight alongside them armies of tamed falmer alongside the player and in Dawnguard DLC we see that the Dawnguard has trained some creatures and they have put armour on them so maybe the player could do this to the tamed creatures as well like the Dawnguard I think this would be a cool feature to see in The Elder Scrolls 6.:onetower::rsdihead:

There are mods that do that... and more on the "other" mod site....
Point of Fact (I think), Slavery was illegal in the Septim Empire (Except for Morrowind appearently). I have no idea what the Mede Empire's policy is/was.

Most studies have found Slavery is not economically viable. Costs incurred usually outstrip any benefits. Except for the Military or Prison Industrial systems which actually share alot of similarities. Though my view of PI system is an outside perspective and my military view is almost 30 years out of date.
I just wish they would stop with the idiotic questions....
And accept that after all these years it isn't going to be another game...
....
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks Fear2288. Always educational to read your posts!
I really wish we could collect people's hearts and flesh, it could be a perk in Conjuration or Alchemy. :cleancake:

Do people like idea of capturing bounty instead of killing them?
Fifty points to whoever comes up with a Skyrim version of the Pokemon cartoon intro.

I use headhunters and I find it easier to just take the head. Managing a prisoner is work and the reward is the same.

Plus if you position it right with a blade. You can imagine chopping off the head when the Thunk and the fade to black happens when you remove the head from inventory. Good Good mod.

Can we capture people in ES? Why would they want head?

For crying out loud, it's your own stupid question....
are you stuck in a loop or something?

At this point I'm just gonna assume OP's got a capture/slave kink because that makes it funnier

Kind of a pattern with people who ask these really persistent "but what if they did this? but what if tho??? it would be realistic... but what if they did this? what if-" questions

I think there is also a mod where you can collect bodies in a morgue and view them whenever you like. I'l look for it.
