Do many mods require the Anniversary Upgrade? Should I buy?
Just wondering if I should purchase the anniversary edition since it's on sale. I don't care about the content it adds that much but I noticed one of the mod packs I'm interested in (Eldergleam) requires it for the full mod pack.

I don't think many mods require it and its also a new since 2021 and skyrim released 2011 or 2016 for special edition but I think you should probabally get it it adds some amazing things to game.

I probably will I was just curious what people thought. Eldergleam looks freaking stunning if you've seen that mod collection! Another plus is I believe it's just all graphics and animations so you're still free to tinker with the gameplay itself however you want. A lot of other mod packs adjust both graphics and gameplay so if you like the graphics but dislike their gameplay choices you're just out of luck.

well, it's also skill, familiarity with the concept and execution of mods, and the types that go for collections vs spending months/years building their bespoke Skyrim are a bit more capable than collections users... collections types get frustrated just seeing how many MCM entries exist when they hit mod config in the menu... "I ain't readin' through all that!!" etc.

but all in all, those are the ones that might require AE content, huge multi-thousand mod collections. get it, don't get it. but for ~$10 on-sale it's not like it's gonna kill your xmas game buying spree with those gift cards you got.
