becoming a good alchemist
So I levelled up to lesson 5 from Arcadia.

Then I still seem none the wiser as to how to make potions.

She said use wort and wheat to make healing potion - very useful.

I've collected wort wherever I can - I had wheat but dumped it as thought, "man this ♥♥♥♥ is worthless and abundant" - now I need it and can't find any!

went out to the fields - saw flour mill - perfect, must be wheat there right? nope. OK lockpick the farmers house, he must have wheat - nope.

wtf. where is some wheat in Whiterun? Arcadia keeps telling me how she has so much for sale yet there is no way to buy anything from her...

also, do you need to eat everything you find to learn its use?

I notice each ingredient has 4 info spaces - why? eating it lets you discover the first - how do I do the rest?

I still don't understand why things are listed as one price but sell for way less? What's the point of that in the game? Why not just list a price and that be it.

Base value of item.
Shops will buy for less. (Concept is sell for more than they bought to make profit)
Perks or enchantments can bolster SPEECH allowing you to sell for higher amounts.

When you a fresh nobody with little experience, you're not going to get a good deal. This isn't a big company with set prices in all their stores but "mom & pop" shops that do what they want.

Not a true active haggling, where you could chance higher or lower each time, just you get better over time if you invest in it.
