Barely any sound

Theres is no sound from what i have came back to no music now slashing noises or hitting noises nothing what happend do i need a mod to bring them back?

It's probably a engine bug with Large Sector Drives. I had this problem when transfering my game to a new M2 SSD.

Sure it can. I've had games over the years that required a sound setting tweak which other games in my library did not need. Especially with a 6-7 year old game (SSE) that was originally released 11 years ago.

Depending on your sound setup Skyrim can naturally be really quiet. There's not really a fix for it. Best you can do is crank your sound when playing Skyrim and turn it back down when you're doing other stuff.

Or figure out what setting minimizes the problem. For me it was setting my system to 3D sound on my 5.1 surround sound system, on 4.1 the volume levels plummeted.

Skyrim is real quiet on my Realtek i have to turn it up to 50 when other games is 20 max, and at 50 it gives a slight buzz which annoys me. I bought an external sound card to try and fix it but have not tried it yet. Difference is it plays all the sounds, just quietly.

No what this sounds like is a multi-sound or 5.1 channel issue where only your surround is working or something of that type. I would first try to change your sound mode to "Stereo" and see if that works or what happens.

Also, set Loudness Equalization to on - not having this set to on was one of the major causes of low volume in Skyrim (though it does not effect issues where sound is actually missing - just for issues where the overall volume is low).
