There are also more advanced version of these mods, that change a bit more. Like I mentioned, these are all by the same person, and are also all compatible with one another.
Ehm... Requirements lists zero mandatory dependencies, just 3 optional files.
If you actually want all out of it, then sure: setting up LotD can take some time and effort. This happens, if you start expanding the amount of displays. I am playing with notably large LotD build myself.
But, to stick with the claim, mod lists or requires no hard dependencies at all.

Project AHO will take you out of Skyrim forcibly for some time, if you wish to delay that then you may install this mod and toggle when you're ready in the MCM

If you want more from these guys, they have released one other mod that is relatively vanilla+ as well, more magic themed, called Carved Brink. I believe this one you can leave at most any time.
