learning to use bodyslide
when in bodyslide there are two check boxes. one is labelled build morphs and the other is something like meshes/actors/character... could someone explain to me what those do and if i need to check them?

Build morphs is for .tri files, used by mods such as RaceMenu to change the shape of the body mesh in-game.

The meshes/actors/character... is for the default path where the bodymorph mesh file is being copied to, if its red then you have a conflict in that bodyslide group, not really that important you can still choose what shapes to use when rendering anyway.

ok so i am not very experienced with mods and english is not my native language so please don't be pissed i am just trying to make sure i understand. so the build morph i should sheck for the body i made in race menu to have the right mesh in game but i am unsure what the mesh does, is it for appearance or physics or something else i can't think of? and if the mesh/... is blue what do i do do i need to check it?

Adding to what Life has said, Build morphs essentially allows the clothing and armour to mold itself to fit whatever body shape preset you're using, and do so without otherwise causing clipping of the clothing and armour meshes in RaceMenu. If you build the outfits in BodySlide without having that checked, the armour or clothing won't conform properly, and there will be "holes" or "tears" in the items.

If you are using custom bodies with your Skyrim character, then yes - you should always check it.

Yes you need morphs, do you have a physics sim installed like (software) CBPC or (hardware accelerated and as it's name says) Faster HDT-SMP?

But what you asked? your subject line? That is the PERFECT google to find a literal pile, and I do mean nearly endless, examples, tutorials, text and video, on using BS/OS.

edit: since you're likely trying stuff while you ask us, be careful on clicking Batch... if you have no groups selected, then you have EVERY group selected, and not only will it take half an hour to run (more or less, depending) but it'll build stuff for other stuff that is now wrong, and you'll have to go on a "whoops!" hunt.
