can I upgrade from 1.9.32 to SE?
Title says it. I have 1.9.32 which I believe is Legendary edition. Is there a way to upgrade it to SE? Was on a site that compared a picture from my version and the same picture in SE and it was waaay nicer looking.
Is there a free upgrade option because I own 1.9.32? Or is there a patch or mod I can install? Or, heaven forbid, do I have to buy another version of Skyrim?
Thanks for the help.

If you had LE before 2016 (SE release) then you probably have SE in your steam library as it was a giveaway bonus at the time. (That's how I got SE, incidentally.)

If you bought LE after 2016, then yes, you will have to buy SE.

Also, they are two separate and distinct games, so there is no upgrading possible - as Mreisse said, if you did not get it for free, the you would have to buy it. Though it often goes on sale during Steam sale events - the next one being the fall sale around the end of October, beginning of November.

The only way to have gotten it for free was to own not only the base game, but all the DLC as well before a certain date. And seeing as how there is no mouse icon next to his name, he didn't get it for free. At least not on that account.

OP does not own SE, no mouse icon.
So they probably didn't own all the DLC before the date.

So they will need to buy SE or do without.
