Report a translation problem
"Upon pressing the button in the center of the room, the initial bit of purple fire will appear, but the quest arrow above the button will not disappear. The columns will move and there will still be vibration and whatnot when it's in the right place, but the purple fire will not respond. When all columns are in place, nothing happens."
Frankly, if reloading a save doesn't fix it, I don't think anything will.
Sure, you could skip it with console commands, but that would break all sorts of ♥♥♥♥ because there's probably a dozen scripts attached to it.
I've never had that bug myself, and in fact this is the first time I hear about it.
Resaver is an ok tool, but it is NOT a permanent solution.
Completely right, it should be used more as an examining tool and not as a repair tool.
