Now start a new game and when you want to use the command console press the ~ key on the mouse trap, then reset it and start again.
Someone else may help you here, as i don't use it, i can't really help you.
Best advice is to only use the console if someone or a wiki tells you it's safe to do so, and it's usually a case specific umm case. ie it's ok to do so this time, but the command isn't necessarily safe.
I have played with the console in the past, but I was always aware that it could screw up my game and if it did so then it was my fault (the last bit is the important bit).
I occassionally chip in and point out the only way for people to get a feel for console commands is to use them..... But it's always a case of "on your own head be it" because it can always glitch the game.
In my experience it is safe for dropping some lockpicks if they run out in early game, or something like that. But even "setstage" used for quests that don´t seem to start is risky.
