For the PS5, on which I play, your best bet is just to use the creation club mods.
PS players developed whole culture around building glitches for Fallout 4. XBOX and PC players had a bunch of other tools, but they had determination get most out of the game. I have to respect that.
No wonder many users complain about their double standards. lol
Nintendo does not allow mods as such, but it does not control devices either. You can edit the device for your own use, but you can not sell such device.
The difference is that Sony keeps everything in check under it's PSN system and has made a specific agreement with Bethesda about how mods are distributed. Nexus can not break that agreement, by creating category for content that would break the agreement between Sony and Bethesda.
While ZeniMax enforced mod author rights for their own content after Curated Workshop (thus far Bethesda relied on Creation Kit ToS telling that they owned rights to all mod content) and that applies for distribution rights (legally, in EU and UK area - and Nexus is located in UK), Blacktree Gaming Ltd would still have to go over Bethesda's head to make a category for PS mods.
That is not going to happen. Those companies have had beneficial agreements with each other for a very long time and neither has will or need to get rid of them.
Couldn't N'ninjas try to take down NexusMods at any time for "promoting piracy" or something?
Xbox does not have those restrictions but you cant use Nexus mods....
PC --well you know there are over 10,000 mods for it.
it has always been this way since launch.
It's a case of burning bridges to do one minor thing, and you will never get an update of them, but it's the owners choice
If Xbox Prim is similar you are probably not going to be able to use discs there either...
For me personally being able to play my PS4 games was a deal breaker...
i want to say first off....i have nothing against consoles at all. but if you compare the prices of them against a PC with a little more money you could get a PC. with far greater capabilities than console then add in the fact memory is pretty much unlimited , i currently have over 8 TB and able to play todays games on a PC from Walmart Marketplace with no problem for under $1000 , plus the ability to expand and upgrade, youd get rid of the restrictions on either one and be able to use more mods. just a suggestion is all ( coming from a console user who changed over)
