Corrupted or Missing files

I have had Skyrim for a long time and I love the game. But over the course of a few months i keep running into an issue I have never had before where if I use the console in game or even if I don't the game will somehow gain corrupted or missing files whenever i check with the validate files option. Why does this keep happening when I have never had this problem in the past. I do not use mods, I have the anniversary edition and this is just a recent development. Can this be fixed?

In Skyrim there is always one file that will show as needing updating when there's nothing wrong. If a validate shows more then you may have more things going wrong. However if it's just one file .. that is normal for Skyrim.

It shows 2 files are corrupted or missing. I don't know which ones though because after I validate it doesn't have anything wrong but when I boot the game up again I get the 2 missing files

Can you try starting a new game and see if that continues?
Just in case you have a corrupted save file.

bring up windows file explorer
go to the steam game folder
in the search area enter todays date like
04/14/2025
and files that were created with todays date will show up

ccBGSSSE037-Curios.esl
ccBGSSSE037-Curios.bsa

showed up for me today, but the game ran fine before verify game files


consult file explorer tutorials for other options like date ranges, modified date, etc
