crossbows
Hello everyone. I have skyrim se (i think the saints seducers and other free content) don't have the complete AE. I haven't played since the original update of this. It broke my game. I was wondering if there are crossbows for each material in the game (steel, orc, dwemer). From what I remember there was like 2 crossbows from the Dawnguard but no more than that. If an update changed this that would be great. If not, could someone recommend a good mod from nexus that does this? I don't want overpowered things just something simple that doesn't require several other mods to work. I saw a creation club mod but I am weary of this. And thank you for your help. You are a great community.

Two of the AE mods do this.
Fletcher in solitude has lots of higher grade ones ( glass , ebony ect )

Not be default. Those are added by the Anniversary Upgrade installed (or some other mod). By default, the only crossbows in the game are the two added by the Dawnguard DLC (normal crossbow, dwarven crossbow, and each has an enhanced version). The Expanded Crossbow Pack Creation (included in the Anniversary Upgrade) is what adds all those crossbows to The Fletcher.

First part of the second line.

don't have the complete AE.

Then:

I was wondering if there are crossbows for each material in the game (steel, orc, dwemer). From what I remember there was like 2 crossbows from the Dawnguard but no more than that.

So he quite literally said he isn't on AE, and can't remember any other crossbows so he likely doesn't have either of the Creations that adds them in. It is about reading comprehension. If he had those crossbows available, he wouldn't be looking for a mod that adds them in. He would already have them.

Without AE the only materials for crossbows are Steel and Dwemer metal, and the inproved versions.

There are mods that do it too.
I know one of the Anniversary Edition creation club packs adds more crossbows to the game like daedric dwarven orcish dragon crossbow and stahlrim the pack is called Expanded Crossbows Pack these can buy these at Fletcher in Solitude or they can be smithed but you need the quest to complete A New Source Of Stalhrim for stalhrim crossbows.:vort:

if you use Bethesdas mods you need to complete the Dawnguard quest chain for Dwarven crossbows and you need to buy the others from the fletcher to be able to craft them.

A wicked looking Crossbow comes with the Lustmord mod which is an Armor mod supposedly for vampires, but any player can use it.

The only things I know of that add crossbows for nearly all the vanilla material types are the two CC mods that you either buy independently or come with the AE Upgrade DLC.

Funnily, while these two CC mods add in crossbows for every other craft-able material type, it leaves out Iron.

There’s a mod on Nexus that adds an Iron and Enhanced Iron Crossbow though.

Another I once used adds faction themed crossbows as well.
ok thanks every one. I guess after this play through i'll finally get the AE in all its buggy glory. Not exactly sure what else it adds to the game aside from the crossbows but I guess it will be something to look forward to. Hope I can still keep most of my mods.

It adds everything on this page[en.uesp.net]. With the exceptions of Fishing, Survival Mode, Rare Curios, and Saints & Seducers. Everyone who has Special Edition has those for free.

And the Anniversary stuff itself isn't buggy. At least, no more than usual for Bethesda stuff. All of the issues people were having came from the game patch that came out alongside the Anniversary Upgrade. And that was true for all of the major patches - patches mess with certain mods.

Most of my issues with AE come from other mods needlessly overriding AE mod records.

The Anniversary Edition adds around 70 packs of content but 4 of these are for free if you do not own the Anniversary Edition it is a Shivering Isles themed DLC and Survival Fishing and Rare Curios the Anniversary Edition it adds weapons and armour from Oblivion and Morrowind into Skyrim and it also adds Nix-Hounds from Morrowind and Goblins from Oblivion and it adds some new player homes one of them is a mages tower near Morthal and another one is a pirate ship and you need to go in a boat to get there and one is a vampire base in mountains and one is a house outside of Whiterun it is called Tundra Homestead it also adds Farming and also adds Camping and also adds Arcane Accessories.:onetower::goldennugget:
