Sky UI in Anniversary Edition 1.6.1170.0
I have the latest version of SKSE64 installed. Is there a compatible version of Sky UI for this current build? If so how do I get and install it?

Yes, download it from the Sky UI page on nexusmods

SkyUI - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604

And use this with it:
SkyUI 5.2 SE Plugin with Master Added - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67166

Good luck!

I'll give it a go, thanks.

Master problem exists with games that are not handled with a mod manager. If you use MO2 or Vortex then they will handle the problem. It is still good fix to keep, of course.

This one might be important addon for you. I used it, until I replaced it with... something. I can't actually figure out right now what I used instead and why, but I checked that fix is still applied.

Also has a number of other patches included in the FOMOD

That was it. I just could not pinpoint it right now and there were no overwrites in MO2.
Thanks.

@smr1957 & @ilja Ok I still can't get Sky UI to work. I properly followed the links smr1957 kindly provided and manually installed the files into my data folder. Easy enough only two files. I then overwrote the .esp with the 5.2 plugin. One file, easy day. I then launched the game and turned sky UI .esp back on in the creation club loader. Upon load I got the warning that SKSE64 was not working properly and that Sky UI would fail. Sky UI interface loads but only after ~5 second delay every time which makes me think SKSE scripts are not running. I use inventory a lot while playing so I cant accept this level of delay. It appears that the issue is SKSE. I manually installed SKSE which appeared to work with only one aberration. The "how to install SKSE" video I watched instructed the user to move and copy two separate .dll files to the Skyrim data folder. The current version of SKSE64, however, only has ONE .dll file. No idea if that is the issue.

I'd be grateful for any advice to get SKSE working properly so I can run SKY UI. Sadly after playing Skyrim vanilla where you launch the fame for the SKSE launcher and all works well with Sky UI I have been spoiled by the superior interface and can't go back. Hah!

There is only 1 DLL-file and it does NOT go in to Data folder.

To SKYRIM folder (where game executable is)
skse64_1_6_1170.dll
skse64_loader.exe

To DATA folder
Scripts (folder)

You could just copy and paste all in to your Skyrim folder, because Scripts are already included in to Data in archive. Folders would merge.

Aside from that, every UI overhaul I have tried has the fix rolled in.

This won't help you with SKSE (follow Ilja's advice) but you should be using an external mod manager (Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex) and never open the creations menu again.

@ilja @hypertext Eye Thanks all for the continued support. I followed the helpful skse64_2_02_06 install instructions but it had no impact on the issue. I pulled out an old skse dll file_353 assuming the current _1170 rendered the old version obsolete. When I launch from steam Skyrim SE I get the following error when I load after the launcher "SkyUI Error Code 1. The Script Extender (SKSE64) is not running. Sky UI will not work correctly!" In the original edition of Skyrim the user had to launch SKSE (not Skyrim) to start the game. I assume this initialized the scripts. This does not seem to be the case with SE/ Anniversary. If you try and launch the game by launching SKSE from the steam library it attempts to DL Skyrim Original Vanilla and run that version not SE or anniversary. SKSE does not appear as a "mod" in the creation center menu and there is no way I can see to "turn it on". I am doing everything manually-- not through any mod manager etc. How do I get SKSE64 to actually run when I launch my instance of SE/Anniversary edition Skyrim?

Thanks in advance.
You must be doing something very wrong. In order to use SKSE, you must launch the game via the exe included in the SKSE archive (skse64_loader.exe). Otherwise you are just launching SSE without SKSE. Make sure skse64_loader is in your root SSE folder, not in the data folder or any other folder. Also the one dll file that Ilja wrote above should be in the root SSE folder.
Be sure you have downloaded and installed the correct version of SKSE. It is the first download link on this page (Current Anniversary Edition build 2.2.6):
https://skse.silverlock.org/
Or you can download it from nexus mods (SKSE64, the first one, not GOG), click Manual download:

@Hypertext Eye Now we are getting somewhere! Ok i received a new error that I have never seen before. When I executed skse64_loader.exe it opened a Dos box then failed with a statement that it cannot find Skyrim SE. it look slike we only need to point it to the right folder so it can path correctly. I installed Skyrim SE in the default Steam installation location. What do we need to do to map the loader to find Skyrim SE?

Ok made sure I ran the right instance of skse in the right folder and that error went away and was replaced by another that is could not find the dll file. I uninstalled my old version of SKSE and then cleand up the SKSE folder that Vortex partially installed ages ago. I then used the loader and all appears to be working now. Keeping my finders crossed I love Sky UI!
