Trouble with SKSE and wearable lanterns.
since I use ELFX and I'm doing an archer playthrough, I'm having trouble seeing with all the dark in the dungeons, and rasing the gamma did not help much. Long story short I downloaded Wearable lanterns, but it turns out it conflicts with SKSE because it activates unused scripts. When I try to equip a lantern, it doesn't appear on my character. Messing around with MCM options did not do anything. What can I do?

If using MO go into conflict and hide the dll.
Just delete the dll Kelvy, the rest of the world updated and Chesko didn't. All you loose is the save/restore feature that accesses FISS
I had this last week forgot the method until reminded

I can't find the dll file you are talking about.

StorageUtil.dll is what you need to hide If using MO go to wearable lanterns plugin left pane and (r/click) and open information > filetree > SKSE > Plugins > StorageUtil.dll (just hide it).

If you use Vortex (I don't) but should be able to do the same.

I think there is a fix for it, check Nexus. I use it fine.

There is no SKSE folder, maybe it's because I installed it through an empty mod or because I got the original file from bethesda.net and downloaded the nexus version only recently.

I already use this mod, the problem is that lanterns don't show up on my character.

It's not that mod, I use it and my lanterns show up fine. Did you equip them?

Yes, duh.

Have you SKSE64 because the error is that the author has not updated the dll, by hiding it you allow the MCM to work as it should. The rest of wearable lanterns is fine.
If you go into MCM and the writing is double up and unreadable it is this dll issue.

PS I only use Nexus for mods.
PSS DO you have this mod in your load order it is needed.

I used bethesda.net for mods before I switched to nexus, but I didn't unistall them, only deactivated them. Yes, I do have SKSE64. The issue is neither the pop up error or the MCM, because even if the menu did not appear instantly (I installed WL in the middle of my current playthrough) by messing with the console I managed to make MCM scan for mods again and activated it. It seems to be working normally, apart from some translation issues. The issue is that Lanterns won't work, they don't show up on my character.

[some translation issues] that is the dll that you must hide.
If you use MO r/c WL (L/pane) and click on conflict and see what it says.
Plus added another mod

Do you have Papyrus as Kelvy says? And MCM new menus don't pop up instantly when you start the game. Play and wait a few minutes.

No, I don't use Papyrus, is it safe to add it in a pre-existing savefile?
