Most common however is any mod that relies on SKSE of which the vast majority of the most commonly used have been updated so they are easy to find.
I really wish Bethesda would stop breaking the game without adding anything to it.
1. Open Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins and check the date on your skee64.dll. (Edit Add). Obviously you want the best version for your game version.
2. Sort the folder by file type and check if ALL your .dll files are AFTER the date of the above. Here is where the buyer beware comes in.
3. If you have the Address library mod. They may NOT HAVE TO BE. Another is they May be VERSION INDEPENDANT.
****Check their mod pages to confirm either of these scenarios or for updates specific to your skse version.****
I did indeed have Net Script Framework installed. I doubt it's what caused the SKSE error message telling me to get the correct version of SKSE no matter what I did, but it's good to know.
Thanks for the heads up. Gonna delete the newer one now.
