Creation Club broken?

Ever since the update, my Creation Club menu has been showing nothing but a bunch of rectangles instead of letters, and nothing I try to do seems to fix it.

Bethesda is aware of issues and said they'd have an update next week.

Can't say with certainty it will address your issue. Are you running mods? and if so from where are you getting them?

Mostly Nexus & Bethesda. But I tried taking most of them out. I'll just wait for the update and see if that fixes it.

That's part of the current problem, the Bethesda in-game mod menu. But I never use it anyway. Not since I switched from playing on Console. The mod management system is mediocre at best. Although Vortex does have an extension for Bethesda's in-game mod system.

Nexus is all you need. Creation Club is fine.

Oh goody so that means in a week when the current tantrums played out well get to see who learned nothing from the last patch and broke their game again.

So, the new update didn't fix it. And when I tried to exit, it asked me, "$ChangedCreations_ConfirmReset".

Sounds like a font problem.
Let's say it's something like "さくら" (Cherry blossom), but your installed font doesn't support Japanese, so your game will show "[] [] []".

What is your game language? do you use any font mods?

English, and yes I do use font mods. But I've got a new plan to figure things out. I've installed a second copy of SSE and I'm going to see if that works, and if so, which files are responsible for making my first copy bug out.
EDIT: So as it turns out, Skyrim recently added four extra lines to fontconfig.txt just for Creation Club. No wonder the fonts were bugging out. Case closed, I guess.

As I said in the post you just quoted, it was a problem with fontconfig.txt. Move your fontconfig.txt to another folder, verify your game cache integrity to get the latest copy, and that will fix your game. Then, if you want all the changes you made in your old fontconfig back, open them both in a text editor, copy the extra lines Bethesda added into your old fontconfig, save it, and paste it back into your game interface folder.
