Apocalypse Magic (Mod) Questions
Hi guys. Now that Skyrim has updated again, and that we need to wait for SKSE64 to update, lets talk about Skyrim Magic! :)

Anyway, I primarily use Magic in Skyrim AE, mostly Destruction Spells. I have heard about Apocalypse Magic Mod, and have a few questions before proceeding:

- Does it work with Skyrim AE?
- Can I still go through Mages Guild questline when using said mod?

Thoughts and help appreciated :)

Yes and Yes.

Apocalypse adds the spells seamlessly into the game in such a way that if you didn't know you were using a mod you would think it's a part of the game.

This mod is made by Enai Siaion, they have made some of the best mods on Nexus, at least in my opinion.

Thanks for the help and info! I am a little ways into a game save, but am wondering if it would be best to start a new game once I install Apocalypse Magic? If that is the case, I am ok with starting a fresh game. Further thoughts and help appreciated :)

Enai makes a bunch of fantastic mods.

You might also look at the mod "Odin" by him. It also adds spells and fixes a lot of issues with vanilla magic at the same time. I also use his "Vokrii" mod that enhances the perk trees and makes the perks more fun (without going overboard imo like his other perk mod ordinator does).

Combine those makes for a very nice and fun magic experience without being ridiculously overpowered like some magic mods. At least I should say for Odin and Vokrii, I haven't used Apocalypse much.

Oh, and none of those mods require SKSE so they seem to be working fine on the new version for me so far.

Apocalypse can be safely installed in an ongoing game, it might take a couple days for the leveled lists to refresh and the spells start appearing but beyond that there isn't any reason to start a new game, unless you want to.

Odin is his Full version of Apocalypse, Just as Ordinator is for Vokrii, Enai usually makes a mod then later on makes a "lite" version of it.

Odin is a magic overhaul on top of the Apocalypse Spells, having both is kinda redundant.

It is safe to use BOTH Odin and Apocalypse Magic? With Apocalypse Magic, I would also use "Apocalypse- Cheat Chests", is an additional file for Apocalypse that gives all Apocalypse Spells inside Chests at edge of Riverwood. My question is, is it safe to use all 3 combined? Or, is one preferred over the other (Odin and Apocalypse)? Further help appreciated :)

You can use both but it's not necessary, they use almost all the same spells. I would say pick Odin if you like the changes it makes to the magic system or pick Apocalypse if you don't care.

Regardless if you want to use both and the cheat chests I don't think they do anything to Odin, they have all the Spells from Apocalypse.

check the Apocalypse mod page and select the "Articles" tab, look under "Compatibility" and you'll see Odin listed as Compatible

Thanks for the help guys. With Odin, is it safe to use psb console command to give all spells? I remember earlier that when I previously used psb console command (with vanilla spells), nearby enemies and creatures would get a dark aurora around them and be damaged without me touching them? Is that normal?

Personally I do only use Odin, but from the Odin page:

Integration with "Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim"

Odin includes several spells that are similar or identical to Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim spells. When Odin detects that Apocalypse is installed, it will not add any duplicate or overlapping spells to the game, giving priority to the Apocalypse versions instead.

This includes the spells Feet of Notorgo (Longstride), Alarm, Reynos' Fins, Ocato's Spell Trigger (Ocato's Recital), Deep Storage, Fabricate Object, Milestones, Control Weather, Power of the Master, Soul Cloak, Vanish, Slay Living and Circle of Death. This only works if both mods are installed simultaneously or Apocalypse is installed first.

I would not use or recommend using psb console command.

either you'll crash or glitch your game

Never use PSB it will break your game. That black aura is the Ebony Mail effect which counts as a magic effect which gets applied to you when using that command. Having all these extra spells added will just cause even worse issues.

If you just want easy access to all the spells use the Additem mod, it will let you take whatever you want from the mod, any mod and anything from the base game as well.
