I suppose I'll get this specific quest again. It'd not be worrisome if there was some way including a console command I can use to close the quest as completed.
best of luck
Also save before you do radiant quests for the guilds, so if you get an quest you don't want you can load the save and try again.
You can also just go to the wikis and note down the location of each word wall, which is probably easier
I still cannot account for the company maintaining this glitch for something like 15 years.
Like others, I always quick save before asking A for a wall now. If he again mentions Arcwind, my strategy is to memorize its location, reload the quick save and travel there w/o it being a quest. I'd pick the word up which would not itself glitch but it would remove Arcwind from A's wall inventory.
it won't work.
The quest is infamous for being bugged, even if you get the word the quest doesn't complete, you have to use a console command to complete the quest, which usually prevents you getting another....
I saw a post somewhere that getting the word at Northwind would clear things so I set out to do that. I did get the word but Arnier still points me to Arcwind. Where can I find the console command? I'm at the point of trying and if it then glitches Arneir, then I'm no worse off. Thanks if you can give me the command or point me to it.
