Installing Mods. Help!

Does anyone have any tips on how to quickly download mod packs? This is my first time modding a game through nexus and downloading a pack without premium there takes about 4 hours. Is there a faster way?

Get premiuim. It's called premium and needs to be bought for a reason.

Or just be patient and wait it out.

Or perhaps start small and learn how to mod first .. so that when it stuffs up you know how to recover.

No other way- nexus premium removes download caps. Years ago they had lifetime nexus premium that was like 2-3 bucks. They removed it and increased monthly and yearly prices(nexus needs the money to keep the site up and running). Either buy it or wait. Good luck. Oh if you tried to use someone else's nexus account that has premium, that account will be perma banned so don't even try it.

If you mean will any other mod(s) required by the one you downloaded be automatically downloaded, no they won't. You will have to go to the individual mod page(s) and download them yourself.

I would also advise you to install your mods using a mod manager . It so much easier if something goes wrong . Vortex or MO2 mod managers are the 2 go to managers , and unless you know you're doing , and would avoid installing mods manually if possible 'cause there's more potential for things going wrong .

With each and every mod that you want to use / download you NEED to read the REQUIREMENTS and mod description, then download and install ALL requirements they specify.

Then read the posts page to ascertain does this mod have problems or additional instructions, do other people have problems with that mod conflicting with other known mods?

If all that seems like too much work then maybe modding isn't for you. they are basic steps to making sure your mod load order is as stable as possible.
