Is there a Mod that allows you to place items? And add furniture?
I finally figured out how to use mods (with much hair pulling I might add). Now I need a mod that allows you to put items on shelves or tables. I have no problem with the Bookshelves and wall plaques but for some reason I cannot place items in display cases (the only option is "open" and "close"). I would also like to be able to place food on tables or in open boxes, etc. Dropping items has stuff falling all over the place. Also I would love to be able to put ingots in open boxes.
And speaking of boxes, why are there boxes in the houss that you cannot use? Either dump them or be able to use them.
Also I would love to be able to choose WHERE FURNITURE goes. When you build your house the program decides where things go and that leaves open spots or furniture in rather odd places. I want to be able to manually place ifurniture.

Awesome thanks. I got tired of dropping stuff all over the floor...

That mod is fantastic - I've been using it for years! It can still take a little while to get things positioned exactly as you want in some cases, but it goes a long way to solving a lot of decorating issues in house - or even outside. Good luck!

Problem... I tried to load it and kept getting error codes saying a bunch of things were missing. SKSE Jaxnzcomsoleplugin.DLL is missing and something aboutSKSE64. I have tried to download the SKSE and cannot get it to work. Nexus tells me that the downloads from other sites have problems and it refuses to let me load it. So I have no SKSE files at all...

First as to the notification, the download for the current version should have been fixed so as to eliminate that. Not that it matters, the notification is meaningless - that file was removed due to incompatibility, the mod still works as it should (as it stated on the page). There is another filed that removes the message, but it is the same file that is included in the version you should have downloaded. Regardless, it doesn't matter - the mod works as it should.

As to SKSE64 you need to download from here:
https://skse.silverlock.org/

Make sure that you download the right one for the version of SSE that you are running. If you are running the current, up to date, supported version of SSE (1.6.353), then you need to download this:
Current Aniversary Edition build 2.1.5 (game version 1.6.353): Download 7z File
(And yes, it has the wrong name, because though the SSE team know code, they are nitwits when it comes to other things, and stated that it would not be "convenient" for them to call it what it should be.)

If you have the outdated, obsolete, and no longer supported version of SSE (version 1.5.97), then you would download this:
Current Special Edition build 2.0.20 (game version 1.5.97): Download 7z File

And, of course, make sure that you have SkyUI installed:

One of the tricks to fine tuning Jaxonz is the movement speed. I crank everything up to fast speed so I can move it quickly, and most of it (beds, tables, etc.) don't need to be 100% straight, but if you're trying to sit a helmet on a shelf, you may need lower speed in order to get it the way you want. If you end up in a position where one click down buries it into the shelf, but one click up has it levitating over the shelf, you need to adjust the speed down long enough to place it.

I love that mod. It has been a true game changer for me.

If you need something less keyboard based and/or non SKSE, there is also CD Cooley's Decorator Helper available.

I cannot get the SKSE from Silverlock to load. Nexus keeps telling me that there is something wrong with the data and won't load it. I have tried several times. I do hae the SkyUI loaded.

See this guide:

(associated thread for guide: https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/2946999144323354232/ )

And when you say Nexus, are you referring to the mod manager - Vortex? Because Nexus itself has nothing to do with SKSE. But check that guide, SKSE is actually pretty straight forward to install.
