You missed your Heal other Spell and wasted you mana and time?

Anybody has got a clue how to make the heal other spell actually heal or at least refund mana if it doesnt hit anything?

now thinking about it.. i suppose how the spell works is it fires a (an invisible) projectile that i miss very often because of the angle from the left hand and short range of the spell...


so when im close the my target i shoot behind it and when im far it doesnt reach.
On top of it now i realise you all probably play with a cross aim in center of the screen while i simply look at my targets.. so if the invisible projectile is VERY TINY then its terribly difficult to land in first place... but i usualy do land the heal when casting with RIGHT hand.

So its the angle of the left hand, invisibility of the projectile, tiny size of the projectile, having no aim cross, and short range of heal. all together... when casting with left hand i miss 4/5 because i dont see where the healing projectiles go and i never developed the expection of the projectiles trajectory. If the projectile alone was either not invisible or had much larger size, then i could land it with left hand too.


Btw, it's irelevant but if you want to know... im playing with a mod that targets enemies just like in souls games. It doesnt alow me to target allies though.

Something to do with your mods. Heal other has always worked fine for me on every version of Skyrim across every platform

Your projectile doesn't hit the crosshair with spells, especially up close. Heal Other and Healing Hands has a decent range (probably 20 feet ish?) so you want to aim for center of mass (torso), and if it's in your left hand keep in mind that it hits to the left of crosshair. There's no projectile or impact or anything, so its awkward to know if it misses. Healing hands lets you do quick taps and is inexpensive, practice with that on NPCs around town, it's not assault. If you're in melee range of a target (and I mean, greatsword range, not dagger) and there's no glowing spiral effect on target, some mod must be breaking the (invisible) projectile or has set range to zero or something.

There's a spell called the grand Healing that heals everyone in range with about 15 feet in case your aim is that bad that you miss more. It is a however an very advanced spell at Expert level.

Heal other...1st person...medic.
Heal other...3rd person...stormtrooper medic.

Even when staring at the reticle I miss half the time in 3rd person.

There might be a mod that alters the 3rd person animation...
to make it feel more aligned.
