Survival fast travel
So apparently in the most current update you CAN fast travel in survival. But it seems to be extremely inconsistent as to when I can actually fast travel. sometimes I load the same save file in a town and I can no longer fast travel. What determines this?

I'm outside the gates of Whiterun, with 0 negative effects, and still can't fast travel.
It's just random.
Nothing to do with stats, aside from you can't be encumbered. I recently fast travelled and I was half hungry and quite tired.

Just keep leaving the main gate of a town, try it, and if not go back in and come back out and try again. Works about 30-40% of the time. Or any building, you just can't be inside of a city.

this seems to be correct

It is. When you exit a loading door, for a brief moment, fast travel works.

I love when people try to circumvent the very thing they're trying to accomplish. Like watching people slack off at work and complain about bills. Just turn survival off numb nuts.

or... maybe they want the food/sleep system without fasttravel blocking. ;)

if that's the case, they can just install the mod to re-enable fasttravel, so they don't have to worry about the inconsistency of the exploits.

Is it too much to ask for some f*cking consistency in an unmodded video game?

You can't fast travel in the latest version.

There's just a flaw with the implementation of the fast travel block where there is a brief window that it doesn't work, and it doesn't update during Menu screens.

The window might be smaller if you're rapidly transitioning between areas. I found it was really consistent just hitting M for the map screen as soon as possible.
