Skyrim doesn't launch anymore

Skyrim stopped launching in August for me. After about 3 weeks of talking to Bethesda's Support, all their methods failed and they said they ran out of them. Last night I tried a cracked version of the game and it launched, even had my save files and everything. I tried replacing all the files from the cracked version to the game's folder on Steam, and the same error occurred. So it's not the files, or Steam (I tried on a friend's Steam and it didn't work), then what is it?

I see no details. Specs, os, mods or vanilla, what was already done, is there a log or any kind of info when its crashing or is it just clean ctd. Then did you try offline mode without updates, is tesv the only program that malfunction, etc. I can only guess now that files are problematic.

Look at your exceptions list in your anti virus.
99% of the time Skyrim has been blocked.

the launcher does not work?
or the game itself does not launch?

what changed in august?
windows update?
graphics car driver?
new app/program/service running?

check windows event viewer and also windows reliability history.
might be a game crash event or related system errors.

perhaps check your windows system files. open a command prompt with admin permission and run these commands :
sfc /scannow
dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

(sfc scans and repairs Windows system files
dism fixes corrupt files in the Windows system image, use it when SFC can't repair files)

might be an error related to the game.

maybe it is your account settings. create a new local windows account.
logout.
login with the new account.
just temporarily to test the new account is working:
turn OFF windows one drive.
turn OFF controlled folder security
try the game.

RTX 3060
Vanilla, tried to fix it with mods but it didn't work
I've done everything under the sun that Bethesda gave me, from memory diagnostics to checking stuff in safe mode. I press Play and the launcher pops up, and after pressing Play on the launcher, it doesn't open at all, launcher closes and that's it.

have an i7-11700 and nvidia 3060ti bought dec 2021. turned off/uninstalled windows one drive. turned off controlled folder access.
game has run - and still runs on win 11.

maybe also try monitor=60Hz and fps=60 and resolution=1920x1080.
maybe game doesnt work on your 3 100inch 400Hz monitors.

There was an NVIDIA drivers update a few days before the problem arose, but going back to the version before it did nothing. No significant Windows update and I haven't done anything myself in August.
I have one monitor that's 360Hz but I've had it way before the game shat itself.
I've also tried all of those as well.
Currently reinstalling Windows since I've been avoiding it this entire time (doubt it'll work but there's really nothing else).
As I said, a cracked version of the game works, but not the owned version.

with no error msgs anywhere, could be anything. even aliens. or dragons.

so far this year, I have had to wipe my nvidia driver three times with Display Driver Uninstaller after an update did not complete successfully. then clean installed the latest driver.

maybe next time try that before reinstalling windows.
but sometimes a windows reinstall does work also and never any idea of what the problem was.

Reinstalling Windows worked. The one thing I avoided. Damn.

Just over a day ago, there was a weird glitch and Skyrim deicded I needed to download AE again. Mind you, when it came time to reorder the files, the game crashes. I'm trying a full reinstall this time but it won't work because it won't work because it won't work.

They hate us. We hate them. Skyrim's why in both cases.

A couple days before the game stopped launching I was noticing a couple weird bugs, such as the game thinking I have a follower even though I don't and so on. Those bugs are still present but at least I can play the game and get the last achievement (can't use the gold duplication exploit gg)
