Is there a way to get rid of being a vampire?
I recently started getting a message when I go outside that my blood is boiling in the sunlight, apparently my character is a vampire now. It doesn't seem like it really does anything good for me, it's just taking away my stats during the daytime...

Can I get rid of this?

if you are full vampire, npcs will attack you(there is an NPC who can revert you back to normal through a questline).

if you aren't a full vampire yet. Use a cure disease potion or visit one of those shrines and use it (like the one in whiterun where the guy is standing in front of, yapping about it)

NPCs will not just attack you because you are a vampire. That only ever happened if you didn't feed for a while and became a Stage 4 vampire. However, that was removed with the Dawnguard DLC and now no one at all will attack you just because you are a vampire. You have to be in Vampire Lord form, and then you will get attacked.

As for the actual question, any form of disease cure will prevent you from becoming a vampire. If you have already turned, you need to go see the wizard in Morthal. Asking any innkeeper for rumors will mention him eventually if you are a vampire.
For the record if the OP is already at the point of getting the message, they're already a vampire - you don't get reduced stats or the "blood boiling" message in daylight until the disease has already progressed into vampirism. Before that, when you just have the disease (Sanguinare Vampiris) you just have health reduced by 25 points.

You'll have to do the aforementioned quest to cure it.

I wound up always carrying spare cure disease potions and checking permanent magical effects after fighting the bloodsuckers just in case. Never let it get that far unless you want to be a bloodsucker yourself.

It's a disease? I don't remember ever getting it, is there a way that I can check next time? Will I be able to get it again if I get rid of it?

In the magic screen, there should be a tab for permanent effects. It shows all your enchantments from gear, racial bonuses, so on. Diseases and poisons will show up there as well.

All diseases will show up in the menu along with all of your magical effects. It should also tell you in the upper left corner when you get the disease, but those sorts of messages are prone to bug out. Its something that happens in any Bethesda Fallout/Elder Scrolls game.

And yes, if you cure yourself you can catch it again. Unless you are a werewolf or a vampire, which makes you immune to catching diseases from other creatures. Exceptions are scripted diseases, like from traps. Those bypass disease immunity. And if you join the vampires during the Dawnguard questline, Harkons gift will bypass any immunity you might have.
