Need help with how to make NPCs view my race
So im using a downgraded skyrim and thus cant use some new mods like certain custom race dialogue mods cause they make the game insta crash but thats not what im asking here

anyways
I am a custom race that makes me a Femboy khajiit and I also rock the Sa'Chil follower mod and she doesnt see me as a Khajiit regardless of being one and im asking here since apparently nobody has in the past

but I just want to change like the games viewing of my race from what I presume is "basic breton" to "khajiit" cause im sick of every khajiit talking to me like im not one of them :meltychan:

please aid me

No, you wouldn't have to edit every single line of dialogue. Every race should have a tag assigned to it that indicates their race. You would just have to make sure the custom race was considered a Khajiit in the game files. It is no different than a vampire being refereed to as the base race. (Vampire khajiit and normal khajiit are both referred to as khajiit in dialogue despite being two separate races in the game files.)

It isn't like he is using a totally new race. It is just a variant of the Khajiit. Somewhere, there should be a toggle that tells the game what race you are. And it sound like that toggle isn't pointing to Khajiit, so no one sees you as Khajiit and you don't get the dialogue for them. It could be the custom race wasn't set up properly, or something else is overwriting it.

Did you ask the mod author about it … I mean it would be the simplest way.

You miss the point, they need to edit the dialogue of every NPC because they don't know what dialogue that NPC has for a Khajiit... they may or may not need to change it, but they need to look at what the dialogue is first... Also the dialogue isn't completely accurate, plenty of times am NPC refers to the player as if they were a Nord, irrelevant of the race chosen, the OP will want to fix that, since they are reviewing the dialogue of every NPC anyway....

see youre getting the point
any idea on how to edit that? what file would i look for? is it in the mod itself or base game? maybe theres an override program to force player race appearance?
