So, does Elder Scrolls have a canon?
Because I have no idea. Kirkbride says no, but his opinion doesn't really matter anymore, now does it?

Yes it does, it's just meh/average.

It does, but just enough to maintain the baseline of consistency in major events between installment. That is to say, it has more than enough for an RPG series.

Part of Elder Scrolls canon is that all five endings of TES 2 happened at the same time due to time-space manipulation shenanigans by Numidium. Just keep that in mind.

ya it does technically have you not seen the dwemor oook I can't actually... lol

But ya it does it just minor and no big deal and thankfully imo since I am 1 of the ones that ignore existence of the mmo since Elder Scrolls should not be a mmo more so with how little effort it had on lore+characters+continuation/prequeling? even if they EVENTUALLY made it into a ok one.

Biggest thing you just have to take is Canon "good guy"s"" (player) always wins and always does every guild mastery I think.

elder scrolls lore is dank as ♥♥♥♥, it's just that skyrim is less adherent to it than prior titles, Bethesda gutted a lot of that ♥♥♥♥ to make it more 'marketable' or w/e

A cannon? Never found one, much less fired it. (snicker).

So that means stupid concepts like Amaranth are canon.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, why can't this be like SCP!?

well 4/5 don't even know Amaranth and .6/5 don't accept it as it was after he left the company or something.

It's stupid to think that the Nerevarine, the Hero of Kvatch and the Dragonborn joined ALL the factions and became grandmaster in each one.

But since Daggerfall and Morrowind pull a "dragon break", or something, then you can probably say that everything happened and not happened at the same time. And that's still stupid.

Let's see who killed Medes in TES VI. Oh, I know the answer. An officer from the Penitus Oculatus just found the emperor there. Nobody knows. :steamfacepalm:

They talk about it in ESO, so it's canon.

Wait, is ESO canon?

Yes ESO is canon, but when they launched the game it wasn't...

The thing about the elder scrolls is they have mucked up the canon for the series overall.

The games from Morrowind onwards are consistent.
The games before Morrowind were consistent.
There is a break with consistency between Morrowind and the previous games.

Previous games had Dragons, you talked directly with the Divines and a number of other aspects, this all got shelved and forgotten about (ignored) when morrowind launched, and have been retrograded out of the lore.

But from Morrowind onwards you have a solid basis for lore.

So that's why the Numidium makes no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense!

i use to see elder scroll lore at youtube, because 5 games + offspring ( i use to master it, but i have other games with lore , and you start to forget them and i also have a life where tech info is required.

plenty of lore video's there, that can bring a little better order in the chaos , even if they make tiny mistakes, its alot faster catchup on subject.

I watched those videos and came out thoroughly more confused

I mean I get that CHIM is a metaphor for the console and Godhead is a metaphor for the computer but still
