Message "flawless amethyst removed", why?

Hey,

I jjust talked to Vex to get a quest, when I've read "flawless amethyst removed". First I thought, one of the thieves around was pickpocketing me, but I've looked into all of their inventrories, even into Vex', but nothing found.

I've heard that sometimes a bard in a "Hearthfire house" could steal something, but also no amethyst in my (ex-) bard's pockets.

Any ideas? :)

Was gona say it was a Q item but then i remebered the fishing thing was from Delvin. Did you steal it in a raid mission she gives out? (to plunder a house)

Or did you had to place it somewhere and quit the job? It is surely thieves guild job related.

Yeah, don't kill your servants.

If you got that message when talking with Vex, then it has to be someone nearby you at that moment, those messages are not delayed. If you can't track where it went, then it's gone. Not that flawless amythests are exactly the rarest gems in the game.
