Does the game run well?
Or is it the same situation as fo4 where a recent update ruined performance and stability? I'd like to install special edition for the first time and try the mod enderal

If one has a decent rig, it runs pretty well with or without mods. Of course, if a game breaking glitch appears and one does not have to mods to deal with it, it will run right into a wall at full speed.
It would be a good idea to install a few bug fixes even if running with a light load order.

Careful with Enderal. The main quest line is so riddled with game-breaking bugs that you'll find yourself loading a lot of previous saves. It's also pretty unstable and has a bad habit of CTD on transition screens.

If you own Skyrim you can play Enderal without needing Skyrim installed.

I play it with thousands of mods and it still run
it is probable Bethesda most stable game, I have never had a problem with it

I'll echo dolmore in case it didn't sink in... do not think of Enderal as Skyrim with mods; think of it as it's own game based off of Skyrim; it's janky and breakable, but it's fun. Skyrim with standard mod using on the other hand, the jankiness and breakability is (mostly) under your control.

without mods the standard game? runs even on a Casio calculator.
this game is like ancient Ziith and fossilized

Its complicated. It could run better but runs fine. If you run certain mods its horrible but then with optimization mods and not using 4k-16k textures it runs at constant 60 fps with full on rudy enb, best tree and grass mods, physics mods, my game is full degenerate but is constant 60 fps.

I was gonna add city overhaul but apparently only works on new game im currently modding while i do playthrough so i cant use until next run, however during minimal testing with no city mod it was 40 fps at a specific city, then i added a visual overhaul + optimization fix and got 60 fps rather 40 fps despite having added tons of objects and making city look way better.

If you have like 2700x and 960 4g or equivalent its like 50-60fps as long as no ENB or intensive tree/grass mods.

7800x3d + 3070ti you can do almost whatever you want as long as you show small amount of restraint like 2k-4k textures mostly due to 3070ti having little vram.

If your PC Is really potato dont touch SE if you post specs people can judge. Potato specs varies on region and wealth so is relative.

I dont really advice modding if your not used to weird archaic tech bs or interested in learning + patient.

Both Fo4 and Skyrim SE run really well on High despite my old hardware.

Also Fo4's update didn't change that for me in the slightest.

SSE is stable under Windows 11. In hundreds of hours, I was sent back to desktop a few times (without crashing: I just needed to ALT TAB back to game).

I tried it on a low-end computer (GT 1030) and it ran surprisingly well.

Because of ENB i still struggle to get stable 60 fps on 6700xt in some scenes. BUT Losless Scaling helps with that. Lock Skyrim fps to 60 and run it at 120fps (doesnt effect the engine/physics!, because its frame generation!). When the fps go below the 60 its still smooth.
LS is the best software in gaming since 30 years. No joke. As long as the GPU has room to work u will get double fps, no input lag and only very minor visual glitches. At least works for me on 1920x1080. Also saves 30-40 on energy consumption on top!

I dont understand how this software is not advertised by every gamer on social media.
Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ magic. I use it for almost every game now

Ty very much for your answers. I will try enderal. You know what else is janky? Fallout london for fo4, and it was also unstable unless I played at 1080p, and even then it crashed sometimes. It was not the monty python I thought it would be so I uninstalled

@RunForRest I do have lossless scaling and I use it for no man's sky. To my knowledge it does generate 3x frames but the movement is still tied to base fps. I could have 120 fps but responsiveness is like the 40 fps I set it to, nms is unoptimized

U get input lag when ur gpu doesnt have enough room. U dont need 120 fps in NMS, try to go for less. Go with 2x and lock ur game to 30 fps first and work ur way up to 60. U want the max fps as stable as possible and chek in taskmanager if ur GPU still has room to work with LS. If ur GPU is at nearly 100% usage at ur desired fps u need to reduce something. But in most games getting 60 stable fps shouldnt be a problem.
Regarding settings with Adaptive Sync compatible screen (freesync or gsync most screens nowadays support both, its basicly the same) for ur driver, the game and LS check this:

don't buy nonsense.

most games already use upscale or other technologies .
No man sky have DLSS

if you wanna spend money buy a reasonable videocard.
here a example

I know what you think why this particular videocard?.
because it gives you most value for power.

LS is definately no nonsense. I dont know how good DLSS is, im on AMD. But i know for sure that the frame generation from Losless Scaling works way better than anything else i tried.
The results will differ for each user, depends on game, resolution, graphicscard and also settings (ingame, LS settings, driversettings for game, driversettings for LS).
Im very very happy what i can achieve with LS. Im on 5600x | 6700xt @ 1920x1080 and im aiming for stable 120fps with LS enabled for most games. And sometimes can even save 30-40% on energy consumption on top without any negatives.
