How do you usually distribute your Health , Stamina and Magicka?
I am curious how people usually distribute these core stats when leveling both early and late game.

I personally used to distribute those according to build i wanted to focus on in a playthrough but stopped doing that after introduction of Dragonborn dlc and its Lengendary/Respec features.

Now i just distribute them in a way that they always end up equally distributed later on. That way i can just as easily for example turn from a dedicated warrior build to a dedicated mage build without needing to compensate my core stats that much via enchanting or needing a new playthrough or insane amount of additional power leveling.

So what's your way of doing this?

Stamina > Magicka > Health.

I use a mod that makes managing stamina critical :D
ReflexShift Dec 20, 2021 @ 10:19pm
Magicka 300 to 350
Health and Stamina around 250 to 300 for each.

Most of the time I choose to be a vampire and have -60 to each because of sunlight. I don't really use the Vampire Lord ability I just like the eyes, lol.

I'm constantly changing how I distribute them on each playthrough. Although the last few years I have leaned more towards even distribution.

If you're a Mage you basically want 3:2 ratio to base Magicka and Health. Health is only there to avoid one-shot death and max your magicka.
If you're me and you run Heavy Armor, Two Handed, Destruction, Restoration, you need Stamina to spam those savage power attacks and Magicka to actually cast Adept or higher spells and Health to actually take a few blades to the gut. So I get up to 200 Magicka/Stamina and dump into Health entirely after that since I'm going to have zero cost Destruction/Restoration enchants anyway.

Basically, I raise the damage resource (Magicka or Stamina) about 3:2 or 3:1 to Health until I hit about 200 Stamina, or about 250-300 Magicka (needs bigger resource pool than Stamina) and raise Health almost exclusively after that.
My mages suck at sprinting with 100 stamina but eh.

Archery really doesn't need Stamina, but you're going to have a weapon for close range that wants Stamina anyway. Stealth builds also really don't need Stamina much, I stop around 150 on sneaky Khajiit and max health so ironically the thief has more HP / might be more durable than the heavily armored battlemage that leaned into Stam/Mag XD

I used to put a lot more into Magicka until I realized that enchanting gear can reduce the cost of spells to 0. Then I started doing more health and stamina builds but still always had enough Magicka to cast some high level spells if I made the skill legendary.

First playthrough on normal, health and magicka.

2nd playthrough, everything on health.

There are so many ways to distribute these through enchantments.

For me, early game, the first 4 increases go to magicka, to ensure I can cast a flame atronach. Thereafter, they get split between my health and whichever stat aligns with my combat style for that play through. Normally, I'm more a mage than a warrior, so after the 4 magicka, I split health and magicka 50/50, until I have about 300 of each, then I begin to back fill stamina up to about 200ish, and then back to health/magicka split for however long I am leveling.

Mara's Warmth ... best spell in the game.. in Survival mode

Mara's Warmth ?
SpeedFreak1972 Dec 20, 2021 @ 11:31pm
It depends on my build I mean a mage has more need for magicka then a warrior Although I find health the most important especially early game I mean attacks are meaningless if you can't survive the first best hit.

Mara's Warmth ?

Anniversary Edition and/or one of the Creation
It surround you with flames and keep you warm
You can swim in freezing water (for a while)

I keep it up all the time in the north

It's a high end spell DESTRUCTION school

Oh Mara's Wrath.
It's just a like a regular Fire Cloak Spell but with Turn Undead effect added in.

All types of Flame Cloaks prevent you from freezing in cold water on Survival.
But they don't keep you warm outside of water sadly.

Well to tell the truth I cheat now :> I usually type: Player.setav health 300, player.setav stamina 4000 and player.setav magicka 2000 when I start the game. I also boost my carry weight by using: player.forceav carryweight 4000.

Hey I've played the game for over 5 years now, time to be silly and have fun......:>

Mara's Wrath work everywhere. I know, I used it.

Nope it's most likely placebo. Cause you still freeze at same rate as you would without that spell active.

You just didn't noticed cause you wore armor with decent warmth rating and it takes a while to start freezing after getting "You feel warm" buff from campfire.

Plus it uses same effect as the Flame Cloaks. One that only protects from freezing water not cold enviroment.

Nothing else is added to Mara's wrath that is Survival related so it makes no logical sense why it would work differently here than it does for Flame Cloaks.

And yea it doesn't you still can freeze when exposed to cold air when it's active.
Or maybe you have a mod that changes this.
