Is dynamic animation replacer script heavy?
Never used this mod before and was thinking about giving it a try this time around, but i wasn't sure if it uses alot of scripts or is more like FNIS and does it's thing behind the scenes.

It is for using animation mods in specific circumstances.
Also it does not work with 1.6. onwards yet.

No it does not. But as Haz said it only works on 1.5.97 right now which is the pre-11/11/2021 version of SE

Out of curiosity which mod that you are using or want to use requires it?
Quevik Dec 20, 2021 @ 9:20pm
I'm actually building a modlist for 1.5.97. Several must-have mods don't work for 1.6 so i opted for the best of both worlds downpatcher. Everything has been stable during testing so i'm going with it. (For the record, the lack of being able to jump while sprinting is the reason i opted for it. I hate the toggle sprint)

And yeah, not officially supported. I break it i bought it. Won't be any complaints :)

Right now i'm browsing but have grabbed various sleep animations to go alongside "go to bed", "take a seat" for various sitting animations, "Jarl sitting replacer", and i'm looking at "animated armory"...plus have more on the "to browse" list.

Thanks for the link and confirmation about the (lack of) scripts. I have enough experience with script heavy mods to know where the balance lies with my system. But i like trying new stuff and confirming what IS or IS NOT script heavy is VERY important in that regard...lol

Nemesis is very compatible with DAR

Tick the Box for "Retimed hit frames" (with Nemesis you don't need the actual mod).

Also grab True Directional Movement
and
"Ice skating fixed for real - No more attack sliding movement (NEMESIS compatible)"
Which is Fully compatible with True Directional Movement

True Directional Movement, my favorite mod in all of Skyrim.

Yeah the mod is described by many who use it as a real game changer.

That mod is also an absolute must for me. And it's of course in the guide. As are all the suggestions :steamhappy:

Those two plus USSEP, Engine Fixes, Scrambled Bugs, Scrambled Eggchantments, A Quality World Map, and SMIM is all you need, maybe SMIM improvement mod as well.

Pick & Choose

Avoid using it in AE update. There will be plenty of patches from Bethesda in the road ahead, and i can tell DAR won't be updated as fast as SKSE will. Last DAR update was in 2020 may. If that tells you anything.

Anytime.

"Script Heavy mods" has had much discussion with some not fully understanding exactly what constitutes such.

I've read many posts from mod authors discussing this.

This might help in general:
