Most immersive mods?
Hey everyone. I'm going to go through Skyrim again soon for probably the fifth time.

its been a few since.

I look forward too it but pretty fast it becomes very much the same old same old:
I'm not looking forward to the generic dungeons.

I would like to have suggest some mods to spice things up, preferably mods that as much as possible make the NPC's and the lor feel more alive.
I'm going for the immersive experience

What about Inn-tegrated NPCs and Chatty NPCs and Followers? These mods enable chatter between npcs of the kind one would expect in TES 4.

Some mods to make NPCS feel more alive:

Guard dialogue overhaul and/or extended guard dialogue so guards don't ask you about your stolen sweetrolls every time you pass them or brag to you about their marriage (Arrow in the knee)

Relationship dialogue overhaul

Interesting NPCS, adds tons of new and interesting NPCs with... Most of them lore friendly.

More to say, gives you more dialogue options with NPC's, although it just shuffles through their vanilla lines.

Ai overhaul makes your NPCs sometimes act like a real person would.

Someone already mentioned chatty NPCs and followers, that ones good too.

You could also look into follower mods, there's a lot of great ones out there like Lucien for example.

I would also suggest looking up Jayserpa, they have a bunch of great mods that add lines to existing npcs and overhauls some quests In fact I would suggest looking through all of his mods, everything he does screams immersion.

Audio books of Skyrim is a great mod for exploring dungeons and wandering in the wilderness. Narrators read all the books you collect. It pairs well with the weightless books mod.

If questing is your thirst, then you should explore quest heavy DLC-sized mods such as:
* Enderal (needs a new playthrough, doesn't work well with followers, but it is awesome game in its own right, with tons of content)
* Vigilant (it's part of a trilogy by Vicn; Vigilant is finshed, Glenmoril and Unslaad almost)
* Legacy of the Dragonborn (excellent player home & collector's museum, but also great quest)
* The Forgotten City (so good it even won a national Writer's Guild award for its stellar script, and it has been converted into a standalone video game)

It might also be an eye-opener not to roleplay as the Dragonborn. Use an alternate start mod, and start questing and adventuring in your own unique ways:

Off the top of my head (actually a little list from one of my personal notes about quest mods, LOL):
Enderal: Forgotten Stories, Wyrmstooth, Undeath, Glamoril - The Maze of Labyrinthian, Falskaar, The Wheels Of Lull, Moon And Star, Vigilant, Uslaad, Forgotten Dungeons, Carved Brink, Helgen Reborn, Project AHO, Beyond Reach, Interesting NPCs, Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, Legacy of the Dragonborn, The Forgotten City, Shezzarine: The Fate of Tamriel, Moonpath to Elsweyr, Fight Against the Thalmor, Into the Depths, Psijic Realm, Summerset Isle, Maids II – Deception (NSFW), The Tools of Kagrenac, The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal, Salem, Missives, Here There Be Monsters (fight mega monsters!), The Sinister Seven (reverse quest; here YOU are the quest target as you are marked for death/assassination, and chased around Skyrim by 7 progressively challenging enemy bosses).

Bigger (excellent and exhaustive) list here:

Also check out endless/random encounters mods like The Endless Pit, The Rabbit Hole, Forgotten Dungeons, The Hidden City, Radiance, Arena and Immersive World Encounters - they make the game feel more random and exciting.
