even for when it was made skyrim had a tiny team and budget compared to most AAA games.

On the contrary. It is time for games to reduce their scale while increasing their complexity. The world could use more Deus Ex likes.

Skyrim had a 100 million budget and that was 13 years ago. Not even current Bethesda and Microsoft can replicate what Skyrim did

because current Bethesda bleed a lot of talent. skyrim was made by a hundred people in 4 years it took modren bethesda 8 years and 500 people to make that mediocre pile starfield. budget and manpower isnt the issue Talent is and the fact is modren AAA studios have driven off most of the people who made them big to start with

Bethesda has no talent left, that is true, but indie companies have no money to hire talent

What's Deus Ex?
Not sure if that's a joke....
I'll assume not, Deus Ex was one of the biggest hits of the nineties and early noughties, it rewrote the scifi RPG genre, and heavily influenced both shooters and RPG for the next decade and a half.

I think that sounds like a good idea for a new genre.
