And some mod that reduced the interior fog/particles slightly. Again, not noticeable visually, performance boost.
Together theese two gave me almost 10 extra fps on a very potato laptop, bumping fps from average 27 to average 35, which was noticeably more enjoyable.
There were also some grass optimisation mods, haven't tried that ones.
Both of that mods were for Oldrim, so you'll have to search for SE alternatives yourself.
If the mods you use for magic are something that adds scorch marks (used to be known for being EXTREMELY performance hungry) or other spell trails, or a lot of particles, then it is quite obvious, what you can do for immediate and noticeable fps boost.
Also you can play with settings, in ini too, just don't forget to make a backup of ini file.
Someone did comprehensive tests and made a spreadsheet based on the results.

Not really a performance mod, but it may help with stutter in some circumstances.

This looks similar but dynamically adjusts .ini settings.

It's hard to imagine these mods would have much impact on frame rates, but maybe they'd reduce stutter. Or be useful on potato laptops. They reduce or remove things that you probably never noticed.
