Does Skyrem still have regular updates?

I stopped playing because every update messed with my mods, is that still the case?

Yes they still update the game occasionaly and now they also update the 2011 release they updated it once recently a few weeks ago i think but it just changed something with the launcher that was the first update since 2016 or before to the 2011 release but for the 2016 special edition they update it occasionally

The updates not only became increasingly less frequent over the years, the most recent update ensures that there will be little if any further need for updates. Creation Club needed to be updated to add new content but the more open Creation Market can have new content added as easily as it can be added to the Nexus, Mod Banana or ModDB.

if you played via a MO2 and it wasn't in the default location under steamapps\common\skyrim special edition\ it would never have affected you in the first place, that unused vanilla copy would have updated while your "real" one would have stayed the way it was.

the problem like always is knowledge; some gamers just have no interest in learning and would rather complain; they logged in, Beth updated Skyrim and broke things, they looked at what needed doing to un-do it, and went f**k that's a lot of stuff I don't understand! and gave up, even though there are step-by-step guides every time it happens.

know this - you can still play 1.5.097 or 1.6.640 or 1130 or 1170 or ALL of them, whenever you want, all it takes is available drive space and a little bit of planning.

but as luck would have it, people are starting to fear another one coming, they've seen recent depot edits and worry another storm is approaching. Updates happen, whenever the dev wants, and there's nothing you can do about it. Oh wait, except there is!

do not let this possibility be the deciding factor. take control!
