Mage, destruction mostly. I always like playing mages in games, even though my main character "Rez" isn't one. I spend more time playing Rez than I do in game over any other character, but he isn't always the most fun, though there are exceptions.

So mage with a primary focus on destruction is in my option, the most fun class. Not much beats walking into a room and just blowing ♥♥♥♥ up.

Spellsword. Always One handed, depending on the playthrough either destruction or illusion to go with it. Conjuration also works too.

Same here mate I love my mages (assuming necro counts as mage 😅) do you use mods for your destruction spells?

Have you ever tried a pure illusion playthrough? Sounds like a unique challenge😀

Well as general mage ya, Necromancer counts, though that has a focus on conjuration rather than destruction. I do, I have the popular apocalypse spell pack, and I also have AE, that added several spells, including the stupidly OP "Elemental" spells. They are literally the only destruction spells you'd need for the entire game. From level 1 to 101, you could get by easily with just those.

I am also using Ordinator, so my perks trees are different as well.

AH a fellow Enai enjoyer! I love his mods and its always great to see someone else enjoy them! Yeah the elemental spells are really really op spells which is why I tend to put a restriction on myself to only get them when I'm around lvl 25-30 since they can be free if you go to that necromancer cave

Nice, yes, love Enai's mods. I have most of them. I like playing werewolf, but it's very weak after like level 20, Growl makes it viable at any level, with bonuses in human (or elf in my case) form too. I try to use Apocalypse spells primarily, only busting out the Elemental spells on tough enemies, like Thoron. That guy has like 5000 hp or something insane like that.

I do really like Unbound Lightning though, you can just stand there in the middle of a group of enemies as they just fall. I have a mod that prevents friendly fire though, otherwise you'd fry your follower too. It's like a miniature Storm Call, which happens to be my favorite shout.

Agreed Enai did a really great job with Growl to make werewolf viable in the late game, did you know the creator of Moonlight tales released a new version thats now compatible with Growl? Might be worth adding to your mod list if you haven't already. I love the alteration spells in Apocalypse as before they were kind of a snooze fest but now they have such useful utility spells like the slowfall one or the horse one with infinite stam. Unbound lighting can be pretty great assuming of course you don't have any followers nearby 😅

Hence the friendly fire mod lol. I'll have to look that up, I dropped Moonlight Tales for Growl quite awhile ago. Just like I did with Better Vampires in favor of Sacrosanct.

One of my favoirte spells in Apacolypse is actually an Alteration Spell. Ocato's Recital, auto cast 3 spells for free upon entering combat, yes please. I have armor, healing and an AoE soul trap activate every time I enter combat.

I have not tried slowfall, I keep Netch Jelly to survive long falls. If you paralyze yourself just before you hit the ground, you take no damage from the fall ^_^

I'll play the "class" for whatever guild I'm going through at the moment. Though I fall back to wizard when things mess up and I need to do crowd control.

Oh wow I didn't know that about Netch Jelly! Then again I mainly skip over alchemy unless I need coin, mind explaining Ocato's Recital to me as I've seen in in game but I usually skip over it as I don't understand how to use it properly?

Yeah can never truly go wrong with the good old wizard, I mean who doesn't love a bit of magic?😃

I have it takes a while to get going and the basis of the build is getting the enemies to fight each other. You still need to have a few back up skills however to make it viable.

Edit: At least that's the case without using mods.
