Hi all, my question is when to use these console commands and when not and any consequences of using these.

There should never be a reason to use those commands.

I will however, use them on rare cases where a dead body in in the way of an item.

If you delete the wrong item by accident, there is no way to reacquire the item, it is gone forever.

There are also many items tied to quests that if deleted will break the game.

well if you use mods sometimes you need especially if a mod puts somethings in modded interiors for instance lighting mods. For instance in modded interiors some floating lanterns.

Make a hard save before using any console command in case it goes wrong. The command I use most often is <tcl> when my character gets stuck in the scenery to get unstuck.

There is very rarely any reason to ever use these commands. I have only used them in the past to remove long dead dragon corpses that were starting to pile up outside a home of mine. A dragon overhaul mod I use includes a remedy to that however, and I no longer use the command. Disable can be undone, if accidentally clicked on something, but markfordelete cannot. If you delete something by mistake, the only option is to reload.

If something is in your way and you go to use disable after clicking on the correct NPC so that their Ref ID shows on screen. then pickup the item and type into the console enable to bring back that NPC as a reset NPC.
MarkForDelete Should NEVER be used.

But it is your game and the consequences for using bad commands are yours to discover.

I sometimes used disable followed by enable to reset a faulty NPC.... it is VITAL to enable them immediately.
I discourage use of disable otherwise, because the item it disables is still being loaded, it's just not accessible.

MarkforDelete is only for when something isn't being cleaned up when it should, I have never used it, and given that the only thing that doesn't disappear is those piles of ash, I doubt I ever will.
