Xbox Controller Not Connecting

Hey guys, so I recently got a new controller with a Bluetooth USB adapter that is compatible with every other steam game I have, except Skyrim (Included among these games are multiple that show the same half white, half black controller support symbol in which it works just fine.) I have gone through and made sure that all the controller support options are turned on and even went out to look for similar problems and when tried the recommended things in those threads but to no avail. I had no problem playing with one of my previous Xbox controllers when it was directly plugged in via cord and a Bluetooth PlayStation controller (my friends).

I have launched the game through Steam regularly and Big Picture Mode and that doesn't have any effect either. I can press the home button on the Xbox controller and that will register and I can navigate that menu just fine, but none of the buttons work once I'm back in game.

It kind of feels like the controls aren't bound at all but I checked that in the settings area for the game and everything appears to be in order as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I haven't attempted to unplug the Bluetooth adapter and just doing a wired connection like my previous controller because I currently don't have a proper cord on hand and didn't think I'd run into to problems since it works with literally every other game. I also get a message that says "Config Loaded Keypad" with a controller symbol when I launch the game.

What is your OS?
I remember that back with windows 7 it needed xbox 360 driverers (windows ten by default
has it already)
There is a guide some where in the pinned topics but I can't find it right now.

My OS is classified as Windows 10 Home in the settings. Heres the copied version of the Windows Specifications tab:

Try this

Go to
C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition

find:

bGamepadEnable=1 (make sure it's 1 and not 0)

Launch the game and once in game open the >>>Menu>>>settings >> gameplay >> and enable controller>>> then exit the menu and play your game

If that doesn't work
exit game

go back to
C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition

delete the 2 (configuration files) .ini files

SkyrimPrefs.ini
Skyrim.ini

Then Launch the game Menu>>>settings >> gameplay >> and enable controller>>> then exit the menu and play your game.
