Question about the Katariah ending of DB questline?
I wonder why no one ever made the katariah into a player home or overhaul mods for oldrim or sse seeing that the ship npc's never respawn and it's safe storage after the main questline?

Are you sure that it continues to be there after the quest?
I thought it disappeared after you finished the quest.

Um I never really checked but seen there is a mod that removes the ship after the questline so maybe it says by default?

The ship does stay there indefinitely even after completion of the dark brotherhood storyline.

While not exactly the Katariah there are plenty of ship mods for homes.

I would recommend Northern Cardinal as it is imo the best ship mod, but it was not ported to SE, you'd have to do it yourself.

It does indeed remain indefinitely. Home mod makers tend not to like making use of plot specific locations, though. There is too much that can go wrong if enabled as a player home too soon.
The Scarlett was probably created as an alternative to that idea.

That is not entirely true the collage is plot for the mages questline and yet someone made a overhaul mod immersive collage that breaks that questline while not a home mod still breaks questline as well as a theives guld home, makover that breaks the hq theives questline but yes I can see what you mean it's not good to do this.
There have definitely been mods that use the Katariah as a model for a player home, I saw a few on Oldrim threads, not sure if any got converted though.

This is the Oldrim mod that Alex was referring to (not ported to SSE, however):
Northern Cardinal - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54956

Remembering neverwinter nights 2 vampire dlc a ship arrived housing vampires so I would prefer a darker themed ship player home when I say darker I mean a dark or shady character/dragonborn vampire or dragonborn necro for skyrim se but found none yet.

Unfortunately, ship mods seem to be a very neglected thing as far as Skyrim is concerned.

And evil/dark themed home mods that are hearthfire compadable seems also to be neglected for sse the only dark/vamp themed hearthfire home that is worthy seems to be Castle Valdmire (SE) on sse nexus the others are not and I am playing the vampire queen path just like in van helsing dracula has many vampiress concubines that is what my sse wives are all in Castle Valdmire.
