Why not Eola? It is only fair that one betrays her after having betrayed and murdered someone to recruit her.

You make a good point. I had overlooked her. She is somewhat useful however.

Marry Lydia? That takes me back to 2011.

Marrying a Housecarl gives the additional bonus that you can have 2 Housecarls at a HF home if you wish.

Since no one else is giving a straightforward answer I will just come out with it: Yes, Lydia can be married. In order to get married, you first have to speak with Maramol in Riften. The first time you enter the tavern, he should be there, and if he's not there, then he will be inside the temple. In either case, you just need to talk to him and select the option "I could have a wedding at the temple?" And he'll tell you how marriage works in Skyrim. After that, you'll need to wear an Amulet of Mara (you can buy one from Maramol for 200 septims) to let people know that you're available. While wearing an Amulet, any NPCs who like you enough to be potential spouses will have a new dialogue option.

Why don't you just check this site: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Marriage
it lists every NPC that is marriable in the vanilla game.
