Eye of saber cat does not drop

Eye of saber cat does not drop for me. As far as I can tell I have no mods that might affect it. Any ideas?

They are rare. Much less common than the Sabre tooth drop. There is a random encounter involving an old orc. As long as you don't kill him, he keeps respawning with two dead cats. This should help a little. Otherwise keep checking the alchemist store inventories on a regular basis.

I thought the unofficial patch came at the end so it doesn't get overwritten by other mods....

I see that you are using Ordinator. I'm not using that but I use Vokrii (another perk overhaul by the same author) and a patch to make it work with CACO. Can you check whether your alchemy perk tree contains a perk similar to this:

Anatomist: Extract and preserve the potent properties available in blood and organs allowing you to tap the hidden essences of other beings.

For me, some ingredients (sabercat eyes, goat eyes, spider venom) did not drop until I took that perk.

And then make sure that you have sorted your load order and applied the results, either with LOOT or through your mod manager's sorting application.

The note about a Bashed Patch is important, because other mods may be overwriting the level list as regards sabre cat eyes, and a Bashed Patch (made by using Wrye Bash) will ensure that the content that should show in the game, actually does show.

He respawns even if you kill him. I always kill him and he always comes back.

I think you are right, CACO (complete alchemy and cooking overhaul) had Anatomist perk in the past, but was changed to Witchmaster.
