Looking for an elf mod.

i am modding my game and to put it simply i hate the appearence of the elves and dark elves. i like the classic design for elves as basically humans with pointy ears but the ones in skyrim look like someone grabbed their ears and pulled really hard. to put it simply they look gross. does anyone know of a mod that replaces the basic elf faces with pretty ones and if possible uses high poly head?

Your best bet is to look at NPC replacers.

Most tend to make Elven NPCs a bit easier on the eyes (less gaunt, angular, and alien looking faces) without fully abandoning their distinct physical traits like their skin coloration, eye textures/color, etc.

As far as a mod that entirely replaces them with LOTR/The Witcher type Elves (ie humans with pointed ears)?

I can’t say I know of one but I think it’s likely someone made one - or at least did it for certain characters and followers.

In Skyrim, elves have long ears. That is respected by most mods.
Yet, there are man NPC replacers that change the faces to look more human.

I suggest to take a look at nexus.

look for mods by coldsun, smaff, and farodadestin. THey do a lot of npc and original folowers, some of which can be used to change the appearance of your character.

There are also specific pc replacers. Do a search for presets on nexus and you will have 100's of choices to choose from.

I'm not quite sure you understood what I was looking for because I looked through the mods of the users you told me about and I seriously couldn't find what I was looking for. I'm not looking for a preset to change the head of my player if I play as an elf or to change the appearance of Elf followers that's not what I want because I am not big on elf at all the reason I want to change it is that the elves and dark elves in Skyrim are disgusting looking and I don't want to have to see them so I want a mod that changes every NPC that is an elf or dark elf so that they don't look like an alien anymore that way I won't want to vomit when I see them because Unfortunately they are in the game so I will see them.

Well I am not sure about every elf in the game, but I do know that mod authors such as pandorable and the bijin series change a lot of npc's in the game to look much better, including the elf ones.
