Mod that removes sheathed weapons? (should be easy but it's not)
Hi,

I've looked on Google a good amount and it looks like there are a lot of players out there who like thick ladies and who don't like the weapons clipping through hips and backs. There are two mods that I know of that can help: 1] Lazy Item Hider Redux (doesn't always work, many NPCs still have weapons showing) and 2] Immersive Equipment Displays. The latter seems simple enough, press backspace and hit "disable" or "invisible" on all weapon types for all types of player/NPC. However, I have found that this IED mod does not do anything. Please don't tell me to make my own mod, I do not have the time nor expertise to do that. I know making mods is very hard work. I am just hoping that I can find a solution to hiding characters' equipment, a problem that I think a lot of players have. Thank you.

Hide them or move them? I am using IED to to change weapon position and distances. They - and a lot of other stuff can remain visible, just not qlipping. IED does not need another mod to work. Those are just configurations for IED UI. You could download one of them and see what they edit.

You could also edit weapon positions and distances with just XPMSSE and RaceMenu combimation, from XPMSSE MCM. It is less elegant solution, but beats weapons clippinq through qurves.

Here we are again Ilja, I posted this exact same topic like 6 months ago and you tried to help me then too! I appreciate your help. I and trying to hide the sheathed weapons, not move them to a different spot. I would like my character and ALL npc's to have hidden sheathed weapons. Let me google that IED UI if that will lead me in the right direction

IED does allow hiding them. I do not recall if XPMSSE does. I am not at home to check settings. I will be AFK of my gaming rig until Friday evening.

If you're willing to respond about this when you get back to your computer and check, here I shall be, once again appreciating your help. Like I said, I tried hitting "disable" and "invisible" in all of the IED drop down menus, but nothing was changed. I must be missing something.

I will try looking in to this.

I am home, but haven't managed do a damn thing yet. Heavy treatments took a heavy toll. I have been in bed most of the day and it doesn't look I am going to fully recover anytime soon.

I still try to take a look at this, but I would appreciate if someone would also take the effort. It might take sometime for me to get up and running at this state.

Have you tried adjusting the position with-in the menu? I know you are looking to hide the weapon, but pulling it off the hips is what most do. I've never used the invisible option, but that should work too.

Force-hiding weapons is a no-no, as far as my Skyrim experience goes. But you can choose the weapons' default positions on PC and NPCs.

IED caused some conflicts with animations, if I recall right, so I've avoided it, but it was quite versatile when it worked,

To unequip/sheathe items from/on character body, I found "Auto unequip ammo" and "Auto hide Shields to Back" to be perfect for my needs.

XPMSSE: allows a few default positions for weapons.
Weapon Styles - Draw-Sheathe animations: lets you choose weapons draw/sheathe animations, using Open Animation Replacer (OAR).
ALLGUD: All Geared Up Derivative SE: Displays your favorite Weapons and Shields, including Unequipped Bows AND Shield on your Back.

Hey all, it looks like I'm not gonna achieve Fallout 4 level invisible holstered weapons, from what you're all saying. But actually, I didn't really have to do any work after installing IED, the weapon placements are nearly perfect right off the bat (because I downsized the thickness of the ladies earlier due to outfit clipping). I'm content with the game now. Will continue to adjust the position as needed. Thank you
