RTX 4060 Laptop GPU for modding
I'm relocating to London for 2 years and unable to take my desktop with me. Hence, I'm looking to buy a laptop. Unfortunately, my budget is very tight thus I look for a cheap alternative for these 2 years.

Currently, I play a modded Skyrim with Parallax on a RTX 3070 Ti, 4K resolution, 60fps in clear weather, High/Ultra settings. No ENB to avoid FPS drops.

I tried to run the same setup on Steam Deck: The game loaded over 5 minutes and produced around 40 fps before crashing when changing cells.

Thus, will a RTX 4060 Laptop be able to run this modded Skyrim at 1080p, 60 fps, high/ultra settings? Or will I need a 4070 Laptop.

why spend $ when you can play good with Community Shaders

trow in some upscale technology (and use your damn graphics card with DLSS)

As written before, Steam Deck fails to load my mod configuration at 720p. Hence I need a laptop. DLSS will require me to get an RTX graphics card anyway if I'm not mistaken.

Also I plan to play on 1080, not sure if DLSS will make a difference there

all graphics cards above 2070 have a chip that allow of DLSS process.

Steam Deck is a Linux AMD system. So it needs to emulate windows drivers to run the game which slows the modded Skyrim. On top of that, it has no DLSS but an AMD equivalent.

I don't think you'll have any problems with a 4060 at 1080p. You'll have 8GB VRAM minimum, so that's plenty for this game.
