Thanks for the suggestions :D I went ahead and picked it up, can't wait to try it out <3
The GTX 1050 has half the Vram of the 1050 TI though (2k Vram versus the TI's 4k Vram), so I was able to run 2k texture mods just fine, but you'd probably not want that. Retextures in general should be fine as long as they remain 1k, and most of the main ones offer that.
With some optimizing and tweaking of settings, you may be able to get 2k textures on environments. Less general rextures (skin, clothes) should probably still be fine regardless.
In regards to tweaking, "god rays" for example, can consume a pretty penny of resources and performance for (subjectively) minimal visual eye candy in comparison to sharper crisper textures, and some people (like me) do not even like the visual effect (it makes the sun rises/sun sets appear glowy and foggy, at least with my set-up), but it is up to you if that is worth the effort or not.
I turn off the god rays, but it's only because depending one where you are, they come from nowhere and completely break immersion. There is an area west of Riften where they are literally coming out of the ground. If they actually came from the Sun, which itself doesn't even cast light, it would be a bit better.
