noob question about shops

I just completed the first dungeon where you select one of two followers (I chose the imperial) and once you get out you can navigate with him to a nearby town. I picked up every item so I could sell at the nearest shop at the finish and get a head-start financially (crawling on my knees due to the load). But when I interact with a storekeeper, I can only see options to purchase from him, I can't see any option to sell. Either I'm overlooking something or some vendors only sell things, they do not buy? I'm probably missing something super obvious in the interface that'll allow me to sell...

At the bottom of the left hand side there is the vendor name and your name. Click on your name to move stuff in his direction.

Also until you get certain perks, you might not be able to sell some items to certain vendors.

General Store's should (in theory) buy any type of item, but most will only buy their type of item.

Blacksmiths - Weapons, Armor, Ingots, ore.
Alchemists - Potions, Ingrediants.
Tavernkeepers - Food, Drink (raw, cooked).
Mages - Books, Spell Tomes, Soul Gems. Clothing, Staves.

Left side of the screen, where it says Lucan Valerius. You should be able to scroll that all the way down, and get to your stuff to sell it. Its been a while, but if I remember right it is W and S to scroll down and up.

You aren't seeing your stuff because you haven't scrolled down far enough to see it yet.

You will see under MISC that there is a line. Under that line will be your character's name (for all items) or specific categories of items. Only what the vendor will accept will be visible.

This is where I wish they had cleaned up the UI for the PC version.
