Best mods that don't change gameplay? - Outdoor visual and lighting?
Never played before but it's really drawn me in. I intend to eventually get it setup for coop on a dedicated server with that mod, but first want to play through it some, if not the whole way.

I'd like the gameplay to be as intended, so I guess I'm looking for recommendations on the best visual upgrades. I have a good PC and would like to get the outdoors and the indoor lighting tuned up if possible.

So just your best tips in this area, or any others you have.

Eldergleam is a decent mod list.

I personally like "Skyland AIO" (all in one) as a visual update. It breathes fresh life to the world and even gives you a few personal options in its installation. And it's also not all that heavy on memory or graphics for what it does! Definitely worth checking out!

Isn't that the one with 1,400 mods including adult content lol?

That's a solid looking recommendation, thanks.

yea its many hundreds of mods, more if you do the full cc, perhaps.. and the adult things i have no idea about- I have not noticed much but it is adult restricted on nexus and probably one could alter ones character in many ways but what I have noticed is that it is a stunning visuals list as well as the next gen game play.. man that friggin list is so awesome I almost want to start it again. nothing is perfect but I was able to run that one just fine and it is like a mega upgrade to skyrim let me tell you

This sounds like just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ recommendation in general, relative to my post. I'll pass.

This reads like a mod list for a German.

If you have good hardware I would say Pfufscher for graphics. Otherwise Skyland for general graphical improvements. SMIM for the meshes.:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34179
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/659

For Flora:

For creatures Rougeshot for the meshes:

https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/rougeshot/mods?gameId=1704&sortBy=endorsements

For npcs, but not to look like waifus:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/50812
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/48904

And lighting Lux as it's very well supported:

Of course all of the above is preference based as there is an enormous amount of alternatives that do just a good a job. I should add these are generalist style mods. Some of the best graphical change mods or replacers are specialist style that change 1 thing and 1 thing only.

Perfect.

I didn't mention it but a compatible indoor light-source lighting mod would be nice, assuming that's what that is.

I'm sure my hardware is good enough so I will look into the Pfufscher mod, thanks for the recommendations.

it self installs so that was the main thing for me, and it has a performance version. thinking back I remember noticing a few lewd type things. Like stripping a female bandit you can definitely see a puss, and some of their loin cloths are more like g-strings...lmao. anyways that is a small price to pay for a list like this, keeping the Skyrim feel- that the developers intended whilst also upgrading it to not be such 2011 crap

edit; i actually added a few more mods that I remembered from modding oldrim days, such as bandolier and camping stuff. SkyClimb is great addition, not being able to climb with your hands is so 2011 and frankly unplayable

So do viruses. "Self installer" X 1400 mods = not a chance in hell. How do you even know you want 1400 mods? It's a joke.

I run about 50 mods total, and with Skyrim I'm not about to recommend any graphical mods since it's this huge spectrum of possible choices. You have to personalize it to get it the way you want it.

Installing someone else's 1400 mods is the opposite of that. That's just crazy. It's like a cult of the person who assembled the mod list.

You don't say...

And I'm sure that blind loyalty extends to proselytizing it in every forum as well. Sort of like the JW come knocking on the door.
